In
1917 the agricultural farm „Rieserbauer“ situated
in the Gasteiner Tal,
in the province of Salzburg, was bought by the family Messner,
coming from Carinthia.
In
the course of generations the area has been enlarged
more and more up to now approx. 110 ha. The farming
still is managed by the great-granddaughter Annemarie
Angerer and her husband Dietfried Angerer.
A
proud moment – the first tractor.
Now
this is a recognized and strictly contolled biofarm
with a forest stand of approx. 50 ha in the main
pine as well as a live-stock of about 50 head
of cattle and of course also sheep, pigs and hares,
just being appropriate.
An
own stud breeding light riding horses
is something special in Dorfgastein.
At
the beginning the production took place in the stable
under very modest conditions, until 1978 the first production
hall has been built and enlarged in 1990. The family
business, manufacturing only native wood, has been continuously
enlarged by new machines, a drying room and a timber
yard and
at present has approx. 18 employees.
In
1987 his son Dietfried Angerer jun. finished
the technical college for woodworking, passed
the examination for the master craftsman’s
diploma in 1990 and will continue this efficient
supplier for the
toy industrie, and wholesale trade of advertising
media and handycrafts even in this millennium.
